Dutch loft

Good monday morning! I should have made this post on friday but sometimes things comes between ... Saw these pictures a few years ago and now I ran into them again and I think it's worth a post. This Amsterdam sugar warehouse loft, designed by Uxus Design was built in 1763. As always I like the contrast between old and modern, the Eames DCM chairs and the lamp are a perfect match to the old warehouse. Photo: Dim Balem.

That is a beautiful, beautiful spot. If I had that bed though, I might never want to leave it...

that bed is wonderful and very inviting. I think I could spend entire winter days in that bed.

I like it all except for the painting on the wall. It reminds me of my dentist office. ;)

Ha, ha, that is my shoot I did when I was working for British ELLE Decoration. How funny. It is a great space. The owners of Uxus Design live there. They are a super talented firm x

Hello, I thought better to answer your question here. I produced, styled and wrote about it. It was actually my first feature I did for ED. I had 5 hours in Amsterdam to get the shoot. I had some drama with the photographer who kept on insisting in lighting the space and I wanted daylight. Fun times x
