Firenze!

Going on short holidays is one of the best things in life, except for long holidays ... ;-) Changing perspective and views for a few days is really inspiring. Two weeks ago I went to Italy for the first time in my life (it's a shame I haven't been there earlier). I already looking forward to the next adventure in a new or familiar place. Happy wednesday! Friends & Founders

Take a look at this lovely design company, Friends & Founders. Founded in 2013 by the designers Ida Linea and Rasmus Hildebrand. The studio is situated in the north of Copenhagen and 95 % of the collection is manufactured in Scandinavia and the rest 5 % in Europe. I just love all of it! Vallastaden

Some days ago I visited Vallastaden, an urban living expo held between September 2-24 in Linköping, Sweden. The mix of detached houses, terrace houses, apartment buildings, student housing and commercial spaces was really inspiring. Walls

I still like picture walls but right now I'm in a restructuring kind of phase. We have a lot of framed stuff just leaning against the wall, waiting to be a part of a nice combination of art. This view is from our bedroom. I'll come back later to show other rooms and the result of the change.

In nice company!

I'm very proud to be part of this quite new design book by Dorothea Gundtoft "New nordic design". 

In the chapter "International voices" I'm accompanied by some of my absolute favorites; Kinfolks Nathan Williams, Paul Smith, Ilse Crawford and many talented colleagues in the design- and blog business like Allan Torp, Catherien Lazure-Guinard and Samantha Denisdóttir.

"New Nordic Design is not only a comprehensive guide to Nordic designers practicing today but also a source of minimalist inspiration. Profiles of ten influential Nordic designers complement illustrated profiles of fifty contemporary interior and product designers alongside interviews conducted by Dorothea Gundtoft. "
