Swedish!

Back in Sweden with joyful, sunny memories from France and also a lot of inspiration from Matisse, Picasso and Renoir for my coming work. These pictures are from the website of swedish interior design company "Svenskt Tenn", established in 1924 by Estrid Ericson and also later in cooperation with famous designer Josef Frank. Since there is only one shop in Stockholm, I'm glad a web shop opened this spring! Have a great day!

Greetings from Grasse

Last week we made a trip to Grasse, a village known for it's perfume industry in the end of the eighteenth century. I like the contrast between the old, charming town and the modern café with the Arne Jacobsen chairs. We continued up in the mountains in another petit village for lunch and back at home we had a lovely time at the terrace. Have a great weekend!

Saturday in France

Yesterdays shopping in Nice ended up with these Marc Jacobs shoes, they are crazy high-heeled but I couldn't resist them. The picture on top I found in last issue of Harpers Bazaar UK and I think it's gorgeous (photo: Laurie Bartley). See you soon!

Bonjour!

Finally I've got time and also made this Internet connection to work (it's very unreliable). Soon we have spent one week in this paradise mediaeval village, built 1310. Both Matisse and Renoir have been painting here! We're staying in a beautiful villa built by an russian artist in the end of nineteenth-century. It's really lovely here though the weather is unusual hot, luckily the Rosé wine is cold and cheap. Today we have been visiting Cannes, tomorrow we're probably going to the Picasso Museum in Antibes. Hope you also have a great time!

France is calling!

Hi you lovely, kind and creative blog friends and readers! I must say I truly appreciate your visits and nice comments. Tomorrow I'm leaving for vacation in Haut de Cagnes, French Riviera. This is Karin's place, she's one of my best friends and lives in this villa apartment with Daniel and their son, Spiderman. When he's not Spiderman he prefer to wear Ray bans. I like her sense of details and the simplicity in the decoration. The lovely paintings in some of the pictures are made by Karin. And do you know what, I just, a few minutes ago, got the message that they got married today! Congratulations to Daniel and Karin, husband and wife.

Sunny saturday

I just love these pictures, everytime a look at them I decide to find a shoe cabinet like in the top picture. Today it's sunny and hot and we'll soon go on a cycle ride and have a coffee. Have a lovely weekend! Photo: Petra Svensson.
